Frances qualified in Aromatherapy during the early 1980's and began a West End practice almost immediately because of her successful work with cellulite.

Her Harley Street practice encompassed many different types of cases, mostly stress-related, ante-natal pregnancy care, paediatrics and cellulite treatments.

Other work covers many aspects of essential oils: sourcing, design and marketing, journalism, public relations, international lecturing and, most importantly, international patient care.

The commercial world of Aromatherapy began for Frances in 1982 when she co-founded the essential oil company BODYTREATS. The first oil she used was distilled from French, organically grown lavender plants. From that point, Frances and her chemist husband Christopher, have endeavoured to maintain the organic/wild grown ethos in an increasingly difficult market.

Frances' personal and professional interest in botany and ecology led to her being accepted as a Fellow of the Linnean Society in 1997. Her lectures combine chemistry, botany, therapeutic and personal anecdotes, and have been well received by Chelsea Physic Garden, The Royal Botanic Garden Kew and Wakehurst Place, amongst others. She has also lectured for a number of different healthcare groups and international companies mainly in S.E. Asia.
